"April’s sessions are well thought out with a clear vision and expected outcome for each session. She provides the right balance between consultancy and inviting participants to identify their own solutions.
April meets her workshop participants in a calm and friendly manner and demonstrates a great ability to listen, be flexible and open-minded, thus embracing the input, ideas and different needs of the group."
Your inclusion guide
Hi, I'm April!
At the age of 8, I had a teacher who didn't understand my gifts and would send me to work with students who had intensive needs. Though it was meant as punishment, it sparked my passion for supporting individuals with diverse abilities.
Over the course of 20 years teaching, I developed strategies for creating a more inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
In 2018, I dedicated myself fully to advancing inclusion in schools and advocating for neurodiverse students.
Today, I partner with top schools and organizations to enhance their inclusion practices, and I am a sought-after speaker at prominent disability inclusion conferences around the world.

"If you can figure out any way to incorporate April into your professional and personal life, do it. Professionally she is knowledgeable, prepared, measured, and collaborative. I brought April in to work with a few of my teams and she made a profound impact on our organization. Personally she is kind, relatable, and positive. I feel as though I've been able to get to know April well through our work and feel honored to call her a friend. Simply put, April is a FORCE in the education world and specifically in inclusion and special education work. She is easy to work with and if you partner with her, you will most certainly not regret it."
Cape Henry Collegiate
"April is excellent at meeting parents and schools where they are and determining a palette of next steps to support students moving forward. She is a sharp listener and an efficient communicator. As a parent client, it is appreciated that she is highly invested in the most current information to be able to support families at the lowest cost possible, by maintaining well organised information and a network of contacts at her fingertips. April presents as a super professional with a calm, and steady voice. Beneath April’s steadfast calm, parent-clients should have no doubt that April brings the tenacity of a warrior to advocating for your family. As an ally to improving the outcomes for students with additional needs, April has both the fire and multifaceted skills of knowing how to communicate well with all parties involved to get the best results."
